I've got here early this morning and I traveled with a minimum of kit because I think it's quite important to keep really mobile. I'm gonna drop in all the likely looking Barbel swims

Look at this tiny barbel, he's had a lucky escape and has a tooth mark but does build my confidence. If he's feeding, his grandma will be feeding.

I have my first fight with a barbel in the second swim, they really do fight hard. If you haven't fished for Barbel on this river before, you'd be mistaken for thinking you've got a huge one on.

This little fella was fighting really hard and not a massive barbel. With a backdrop like this, I don't mind. I'm gonna slip him back because I'm sure we're gonna get some more bites.

This one feels much better. It's a bigger one. a full for this if we have to. I've never been so happy to see a decent bottle. That's that's much more like it.

A barbel in double figures, I'm over the moon with that.
